Admission Requirements of University of Phoenix Online

Online universities vary in their admission requirements. [adsnese]To qualify for University of Phoenix online, you should meet several requirements. There is a list of requirements you should meet when you’re trying to be enrolled in University of Phoenix Online no matter you’re trying to earn a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.

Bachelor’s Degree

1. You should be at least 18 years old.

2. You should be a citizen or permanent resident of United States. If you are not, you should hold a valid visa when you try to choose any online bachelor’s degree program offered by University of Phoenix.

3. You should have got a high school diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED). If you have got neither of them, you need to take GED test.

4. You should hand in all the documents about the official test scores and official transcripts before you enter into the university.

5. You should have academic credits, coming from your prior coursework, elective classes, major studies and credits which have been awarded through the Assessment of Prior Learning (APL) or the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Professional training or military training can be converted into academic credits.

6. You should have a job now. If you have no one, you should show that you have ability to adapt yourself to an organizational environment and apply the concepts and knowledge you’ve learned through online programs.

7. You have not been expelled from any school or institution previously.

8. You should have self-control ability and study according to the schedule.

Master’s Degree

A. You must be a USA citizen or permanent resident in United States. For international students, they should hold a visa card.

B. An official undergraduate degree posted transcript will be required.

C. Your undergraduate degree should come from at least a regionally accredited college or university, or one in another country that is recognized.

D. You’re required to have a 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

Doctoral Degree

1) You should be a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States. If you are an international student, you should hold a valid visa.

2) You should have at least three years of full-time professional experience in a leadership position, including supervisory or managerial experience.

3) A master’s degree from an approved college or university which is either regionally or nationally accredited is required. A comparable degree from a recognized institution in a foreign country is also allowed.

4) A minimum 3.0 GPA on your graduate degree posted transcripts is necessary.

5) You should submit an official transcript include at least three graduate level credits in statistics, research methods or scientific reasoning with a grade of at least C.

6) You should have access to a research library.

7) You should have a residency of 8 days during the first year, 3 days during the second year and 8 days during the third year.
